LilyGo T-Radar 24 GHz Radar Module

The LilyGo T-Radar is an ultra-compact 24 GHz radar module for motion and presence detection. It measures the smallest movements contactlessly using electromagnetic waves and is ideal for smart lighting, security, or energy-saving systems. The module is not a standalone microcontroller but is connected via UART or I2C to a host system (e.g., ESP32, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi board). The sensor operates at a frequency of 24 GHz in the ISM band and can detect both motion and presence. It captures not only fast movements but also the finest micro-movements (e.g., breathing). The module's absolute range is up to 20 m, with the optimally usable detection range between 0.2 and 6 m — ideal for close-range detection and room monitoring. Distance, movement, and signal strength can be read in real-time via the serial interface.
