This affordable push button / switch is great for your DIY Arduino projects. If you activate the pull-up resistor on an input on your Arduino, you can connect the button to this input and GND. When the button is not pressed, the signal is at 1; as soon as the button is pressed, the input drops to 0.

Do not apply heat for too long when soldering, as this can melt the plastic and destroy the button.
