The R3D PETG-Silk Copper Filament combines the proven properties of PETG with an elegant silky shine in copper optics. PETG-Silk merges good mechanical strength with an attractive, shimmering surface that gives printed objects a high-quality appearance. The filament has a diameter of 1.75 mm with a tight tolerance of ±0.02 mm, ensuring consistent extrusion. The material density is 1.28 g/cm³, and the melting temperature is 225 °C. PETG-Silk offers a tensile strength of 42 MPa and a flexural strength of 75 MPa, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. With a low moisture absorption of 0.4 %, it is still recommended to store it dry at 15–25 °C and away from UV light. The filament is compatible with common nozzles ranging from 0.4 to 0.8 mm made of copper or hardened steel and is also suitable for use in automatic material change systems (AMS). Each spool is sealed and packed with silica gel to minimize moisture exposure. The net weight of the filament is 1 kg per spool.
