I2C Interface PCF8574 for LCD Display

The I2C interface module significantly simplifies the control of the LCD displays 1602 and 2004. Normally, you need 6 I/O pins from the Arduino and one wire to adjust the contrast to control the displays. In addition, a 5V power supply and GND are required (a total of 9 connections). With the I2C interface module, you only need 2 control lines, 5V power supply, and GND (a total of only 4 connections). The LCD interface module is addressed via the I2C bus based on the set address. The module is set to the default address of 0x27. The address can be changed by soldering bridges on A0, A1, and A2, in the range of 0x20 to 0x27. For example, if you want to use the address 0x24, you must set the bridges on A1 and A2. The contrast of the LCD display can be adjusted using the blue potentiometer on the module. The LCD backlight can be deactivated by removing the jumper labeled "LED". There is already a ready-made Arduino library for controlling the module, which you can find in the Library Manager under "LiquidCrystal_I2C".
