DFRduino UNO R3 Arduino Compatible Board
The DFRduino Uno V3.0 from DFRobot is an Arduino compatible board for schools or for hobbyists. It's a great entry-level microcontroller board that is fully compatible with the Arduino UNO R3 and the open-source development environment Arduino IDE. The ATmega16U2 is installed on this board as a USB-to-serial converter. An added benefit is that the AVR chip in the DIP package is used in the DFRduino UNO R3 board. This allows you to easily remove the chip to update or reprogram the firmware, or even to put it on a finished, more compact project. The headers have different colors to indicate different types of I/O ports:
- Red for the power part.
- Blue for analog I/O.
- Green for digital I/O.
These colors match the sensor cables from DFRobot, making it very easy to figure out where to connect the sensors, or to determine which side is analog (blue) or digital (green). Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. It has 14 digital input/output pins (six of which can be used as PWM outputs), six analog inputs, a 16 MHz quartz oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller.
